May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Residency

We finally have our residency!!! Dad started working on it 2 1/2  month before we left the States. We got it on the 13th of December, 6 1/2 month after the process started. It was a long process and a lot of headache for Dad but Praise the Lord it finally came through ☺
We have a wonderful friend here in Nicaragua that helped us with all of the legal stuff that needed to  be done. He is from Mexico but has been here for 20+ years so he is well used to all of the process.
We drove from Puerto Cabezas to Managua in 19 hours on the road that runs between here and there. It is not a nice road at all. It feels like is that you are going to be shaken to tiny little pieces by the time you arrive even if you are not going faster then 10-15mph which is about the average speed.
We all got our cards the the same day. Talking with people that have done it before say it never happens that quick and smooth. God is with us!!!!!
This picture dosen't do justice on how happy we were. When we got them we were all dancing :)

After we got the residency done we had to wait a couple days till the boat got out of customs then we started the long treacherous road home. With the boat we ended up taking 53 hours driving night and day to arrive. At one point the axle on the boat broke so we had to spend and afternoon getting that fixed.
Needless to say I don't think I have ever been that tired in all my life. By the time we arrived I think most of us were able to sleep standing, sitting or whatever other position we happened to be when our eyes fell shut.
But praise the Lord we finally did arrive as unending as it had seemed ☺ I think all of us can testify to the fact that God picked our boat up a couple times when we came to a pothole that was bigger then the truck and was not humanly possible to get through with the boat.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
Thanks for hanging with us. Your sister in Christ,
