May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

A heart full of Joy!!

Sometimes my heart feels so full it could just burst with songs and praise and prayers of thanks.
 Today is one of those days. It just seems whatever happens I can seem to find some kind of joy in it any way. Even with a screaming girl that is throwing a temper tantrum, No I don't enjoy a screaming child but I can find something to be joyful about in  the whole situation,
 Why; because when I punish her and she finally gives up I ask her why we can't throw a fit like that she tells me why with so much conviction that it and so much intensity that you know that with all heart she wants to do better. She holds me tight and hugs and gives me kisses and tells me she is sorry. Afterward she is the sweetest little girl and trys her very hardest to please me.
 Have we gone thru this more then one time? Yes, we have gone thru this at least 10 times or more this past week. it gives me so much joy to be able to help her when she is young. If we teach her now  her life will be so much easier once she is grown. She will be able to understand the importance of keeping ones word, being kind, listening, speaking with respect, obeying  (even when one doesn't understand) treating others the way you want to be treated.
 Will it take more time then this past week, Yes it will take years, and even a lifetime of choosing right from wrong but if we start when she is just two it won't be as hard to choose when she is older.

Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Just some things that we have been working thru.
Please remember to keep us in your prayer and that I will be able to deal with her in wisdom and the way the Lord wants me handle it.  Thanks,

Quick Update.

So I have been really bad about updating.
 We have been really busy ever since I got back.
We started our own preschool a couple days after I came. We have 7 little ones from the home that are preschool age so we decided to start our own. I helped teach a couple days until it got started then I was put to doing other stuff.

Ready for their first day of school

Learning Colors

When school started I began teaching first and second grade English. All together I have 46 students.
 It has been a challenge for me teaching students that don't know any English with my limited Spanish. Never in my life did I realize how many words a person uses to explain something very simple and basic. I can understand so much but I just can't put sentences together. To many past tence, present tence, future tence, masculine, feminine and you have to say it all with just the right kind of emotion at the right spot.  How did someone ever come up with such a complicated thing :{
 Nevertheless it is helping me learn a lot. They are just kids so they don't care as much how I say things. They laugh at  me sometimes but atleast I can ask them how to say it correctly.
 It has been fun too. They are so full of life, the first graders especially. The first couple days their excitement couldn't be contained. Every time I would say something they would repeat it even if it wasn't necessary :)
  All the students seem to like me and they love to give me things, stickers, candy, a small snack, maybe part of a mandarin or half a sandwich. And when I am walking somewhere at recess they all pile around me each trying to tell me something that is important to them. It is so sweet.

 On Monday we started a feeding center here at the school. I have been helping with that as well because I only have classes till 8:30 or 9:00.

The church we go to is coming here on the 4th of March and the Pastor asked me and one of the girls if we would do a special. I know just enough on the guitar to get me into trouble and now I have been asked to play and sing a special at church. Now I have to practice like crazy.

Something I resolved that I was going to do when i get back is to go running every morning. So since I am here I get up at 5:00 and go running.
  I never had an idea the impact it would have on everyone. I have been here for 3 weeks and currently I have 5 more running with me. We either run laps around the soccer feilds or run back and forth on our long driveway. I is so much fun and it makes any day better if you start it off  breathing some clean air. And it dosen't take long to wake up because there is always a very strong wind blowing that is a little nippy.

 Anyway this is just little of what is happening here. There is so much more. I just don't seem to find time to put everything down in writing.
 Sorry it isn't put together better.        Love;

Back to Nicaragua

Just a quick note to let y'all know that I am back in Nicaragua. Had a nice blessing on my flights down. They upgraded me to first class :)
Everyone seemed extremely happy to see me. You should have heard it when I walked in. Lots of  hugs, kisses and talking all at once.
 I got to go see the ocean for a bit on my first weekend back. Such a rest full and beautiful place to be.

                        Anyway everything is going well. I'm missing everyone already. God bless,
